On November 25th, the Maastricht Centre for European Governance (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences), in cooperation with the Montesquieu Institute Maastricht, organized another Maastricht Monnet Lecture.
Director of Relations with Citizens at the Directorate-General for Communication of the European parliament, Stephen Clark, gave a lecture on 'This time it's different: Communicating on the 2014 European Election".
Stephen Clark is responsible for communicating the activities of the European Parliament to citizens, for example through its visitors’ programme, its “Parlamentarium” visitors centre, the future House of European History, as well as through various events and information campaigns. In this role, he draws heavily on his previous experience as head of online communications, during which he developed Parliament’s social media presence. He is currently coordinating the Parliament’s communication campaign on the 2014 European elections.
