Perspectives on the Euro(pean) Crisis: Virtual Exchange Program
This upcoming fall a new and innovative program called 'Perspectives on the Euro(pean) crisis' will be launched by the Sharing Perspectives Foundation in cooperation with 8 partner universities in Europe. ‘Perspectives on the Euro(pean) Crisis’ is an international, academic Virtual Exchange program that gives you the opportunity to meet fellow students online from all over Europe and debate with them the challenges Europe is facing today.
Always wanted to know how the Euro crisis and its implications are viewed by students from all over Europe? Do you like to debate the future of the Euro with students from Europe’s North, East, South and West? Or want to hear the thoughts of professors and students on what is at stake in today’s European Union? This is your chance!
Watch online lectures from renowned professors, discuss with graduate students across Europe the issues at stake in a virtual meeting room and do research together to come to joint solutions for the current Euro(pean) crisis. In total 96 students – 12 from each participating university – can apply for this program. As a participant, you will become part of an international, online network and have the opportunity to publish your final research paper. Above all, the best two students from each university are invited to present their findings to European policy makers in Brussels mid-February 2014!
The program will run from 1 October 2013 until 15 February 2014. In the first week of October Montesquieu research director, Arco Timmermans, will give a lecture on 'Ignorance or Emphasis: Political Attention and Perspectives on the European Crisis'.
