MI Researcher at the ECPR Graduate Conference
The 4th Graduate Conference of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) was held on 4-6 July 2012 and hosted jointly by Universität Bremen and Jacobs University Bremen. It welcomed some 600 participants, mostly PhD researchers from all over Europe and beyond.
The Montesquieu Institute was represented there by PhD Candidate Petya Alexandrova, who co-chaired a panel on Agenda Setting in the EU together with Magdalena Nasieniak from the University of Bath. Petya Alexandrova also presented her paper on Issue Linkages on the European Council Agenda, part of her doctoral dissertation. The paper discusses a new methodological tool for discovery of links between policy issues on a political agenda and proposes an application of the technique to the agenda of the EU top body.
